Can you trust these numbers?

Every figure on Dooram comes from the body named beside it, with its year; estimates are marked. For the countries whose weekly illness reports Dooram reads, here is how complete and how late those reports are.

How openly Pakistan publishes its weekly health figures

3 of 8 points, on the measures below

  • Says which dates each report coversPoor.Reports give a week number but no dates, so nobody can tell how late they are.
  • How soon a report appearsCan't tell. Can't be measured without dates, so it is counted once, above.
  • Weekly reports published this yearGood.39 of 39 so far.
  • Districts that sent figuresPartly.103 of 117 in the newest report.
  • Published as data, not only as PDFPoor.Only as PDF files, so every figure has to be read off a page.
  • Its own totals add upCan't tell. Can't be checked: its district tables cover only part of the country.

The grade is about the report, not about health care or how ill people are. From the weekly reports of the Field Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Division, National Institutes of Health, Islamabad, as Dooram found them. How the grade works

Its reports print no dates, so how late they are cannot be told.

Weekly reports this year

All 39 reports so far. Newest: week 39 of 2026.

Districts in the newest report

103 of 117 sent figures. The other 14 show as grey on the maps, never as zero.

How the grade works

Six things a reader needs from a weekly health report.

  • Says which dates each report covers. Without dates nobody can tell how old the news is.
  • How soon a report appears. Within 2 weeks is good; within 6, partly.
  • Weekly reports published this year. 95% or more is good; 80%, partly.
  • Districts that sent figures. 95% or more is good; 80%, partly.
  • Published as data, not only as PDF. Data files can be checked and reused; a PDF has to be copied by hand.
  • Its own totals add up. At most 1 report in 20 with a total that is not its districts added up is good; 1 report in 5, partly.

Each is good (2 points), partly (1) or poor (0). Anything that cannot be checked is left out rather than counted against the country. The grade is the share of points: A 85% or more, B 70%, C 55%, D 40%, E below.

What is a reported case?

Someone reached a clinic, and a form was filed.

The counts miss people who were ill and never saw a doctor, so they run thinnest where care is hardest to reach. Dooram compares the reports with what they usually say. It does not forecast and does not estimate the cases nobody reported.

What does Dooram know about you?

Nothing that leaves your phone.

No account, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising. Your phone keeps your light or dark choice, the place you picked and the places you looked at recently; clear your browser's site data and they are gone. To suggest a place near you, the page asks the host which country you are in, and keeps nothing. The host, Cloudflare, sees each request the way any website's host does.
